After your booking with a bedroom is made, you will receive an email from us within 7 days where you will get to choose which bedroom you would like to have. Bedrooms are chosen on a 'first booked first served' basis, so the earlier you book the more choice you will have. If you have yet to receive an email from us regarding choosing bedrooms after 7 days, please contact us as soon as and we will sort it out with you.

Price: £159.99 total (£50 deposit option/£109.99 remaining balance)
Times: 8:30pm - 10:00am (arrive early at 7:45pm to settle in rooms)
Includes:

• Exclusive Ghost Hunt for 2 people from 8:30pm - 2:30am
• Extended Ghost Hunt for 2 people after 2:30am until 3:30am (optional)
• Sleepover for 2 people in one of the six haunted bedrooms (all double beds)
• Breakfast for 2 people the following morning at around 8:30am - leaving time at 10:00am

 

ALL REMAINING BALANCES are due FOUR WEEKS prior to the event date and must be fully paid by then. Failure to pay balances before the deadline will result in your tickets (and your bedroom if booked) being forfeited and put back up for resale. No refunds given.

The earliest record of the site dates back to the Domesday Book (1086), but sadly nothing of that original dwelling remains, although it's believed the cellar may have been part of the original building.

 

The oldest section of the present-day building dates back to 1450, and now houses the breakfast bar, first floor landing and the cellar below. The proprietor of Allington Manor at the time, owned a third of the village land. Then known as West Allington Manor, the house was passed on to many affluent yeoman farmers, before coming into possession by the Grant family, who were part of the larger Danby family in the 16th Century.

 

The Grants bought Allington Hall and most of the village land by the mid-17th Century. In 1660, the Grant family built numerous extensions around the building, including the Dutch gables, the upstairs bedrooms and the dog-leg grand staircase to complete the unique house that stands today.

 

The property passed through two more generations before the family fell on hard times, and sold the Manor for £841 to a gentleman called Reverend Thomas Williamson. For two and a half centuries, the Manor House remained with the Williamson family, and then by marriage the Welby family. However during this time, the structure fell into disrepair and was left abandoned and uninhabited. It wasn't until 1948, when the property was purchased by Mr. Palin (no not that one) who saved it from ruin.

 

The task of restoring the property to its former glory was undertaken by the Vincent family in 1983, who are still the proprietors of Allington Manor currently.

The ghost of a self-righteous male has been sensed in the Lord's Bedroom, with us on a previous investigation witnessing him turning on and off our laser grid equipment when asking him to. Also in here is an old portrait painting of a gentleman, whose eyes follow you around the room. No one knows the name of the man in the painting, all we know is that the painting came from another estate. Is this male spirit connected to the Manor, or is he actually connected to the painting?

 

In the Drawing Room, an old mantlepiece clock chimes on its own, but there is one thing...   it doesn't work.

 

Upstairs in the Footman's Bedroom, a dark, angry religious spirit roams the old servants' quarters, angry about his homosexuality secret being exposed to his community in his time. He has drained batteries in multiple pieces of equipment on previous investigations, tilted the mirror on the dresser and has even growled at guests in different groups too. Our residents mediums believe he actually hung himself on a certain timber beam in the room, with some guests struggling to breathe as if being choked by his presence.

 

A Grey Lady has also been picked up in the servants' quarters, as well as children energies. Are these children lost here searching for their mother and father, and is the Grey Lady a former Maid or Nanny to the children?

 

In the Lady's Bedroom, many women who investigate this room have had to leave soon after entering because they've suddenly felt sick, nauseated and dizzy. Is there a spirit here who has a dislike for women, and if so what is their reasoning for causing this unnerving phenomena?

 

Other poltergeist activity has been witnessed at this location, including doors opening and closing on their own by invisible forces. Static energies are constantly felt on both the ground and upper floors, and phantom whistles have been heard in the Foyer area. It's also in this area where a ghostly Black Dog has been felt moving around people's legs.

 

Will we encounter past members of the Grant family who loved this home? Who occupied the Manor in the 1450s? And what will we find lurking upstairs in the dark and spooky servants' quarters?

OVERNIGHT STAY: Those who have booked a bedroom to stay overnight can arrive to the Manor at 7:45pm at the earliest to settle into your rooms and safeguard your bags. Once the Ghost Hunt has finished at 2:30am, you will have the opportunity to continue investigating for an extended time until 3:30am and then dare go to sleep in one of Allington Manor's haunted bedrooms. English Breakfast will be served in the morning at around 8:30am. Leaving time is at 10:00am Saturday morning. There is an option for a Vegan English Breakfast so please do inform us as soon as.

 

WHAT TO BRING: A torch, a warm coat/jacket, sensible footwear, any equipment you wish to bring along (your responsibility), your positive and open-minded energies. If you're staying overnight in a bedroom, please bring your essentials such as fresh clothing, toiletries, medication, personal snacks/drinks (non-alcoholic) etc.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Bringing alcohol or illegal drugs to this event is strictly prohibited. If anyone arrives at the event under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances, they will not be allowed to stay for the night and will be asked to leave immediately, NO REFUNDS!
