Located in Northampton is Delapré Abbey, a Grade II listed building complete with histories dating from Medieval times to the Victorian era. The Abbey was founded in 1145 by Cluniac Nuns, who came over from France and lived here for nearly 400 years, up until the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Delapré is also the site of the Battle of Northampton, fought between Yorkists and Lancastrians during the Wars of the Roses in 1460. It was the home of the Tate family for a few centuries, and later home to the Bouverie family during the Victorian period.
Many ghostly hauntings have been reported here, including the apparition of the Blue Lady seen in the house, shadow figures spotted, apparitions of knights in full armour witnessed across the grounds, blood-curdling painful screams heard towards the battlefield, and the sounds of voices and religious chanting heard from inside empty rooms. Join us as we investigate this unique haunted location using a variety of different paranormal equipment, such as EMF Meters, REM Pods, Spirit Boxes and Detectors, plus our own senses as we attempt to find out what spirits still roam this site. We will be using methods like Victorian Table Tipping, Ouija Boards and the Estes Method, as well as utilising other equipment and techniques throughout the night in an attempt to communicate with the spirits of Delapré Abbey.

Your night of ghost hunting with Brookes Paranormal is guaranteed to be a fun, safe and spooky one. Experience this historic location with exclusive access after dark, as you explore the eerie rooms and areas in search for the ghostly spirits that haunt here.
Here at Delapré Abbey, you will get to investigate the Medieval Section of the building, including the Nunnery rooms, Cloister, Archivist Oak Room, Housekeeper's Room and Zouche Tate Kitchen, the Victorian Bouverie Rooms, including the Salon, Drawing Room and Library, and the dark, sinister Cellars underneath the Abbey's foundations, where Henry VI was imprisoned following the defeat of the Battle of Northampton in 1460.
Our team are friendly, professional, approachable and knowledgeable with paranormal investigating, and we will guide and support you to make sure you get the most out of your investigation. Whether you're a paranormal novice or an experienced investigator, you'll be well-looked after and treated like family. This is an honest ghost hunting experience, so there won't be any fakery or trickery during the night. We believe that if activity happens, it happens for real.
On your ghost hunt, you will be split into smaller groups led by your team investigators to give you the best, personal experience possible. You will also get hands on with various pieces of ghost hunting equipment, such as EMF Meters, REM Pods, Spirit Boxes and Detectors, and participate in interesting paranormal experiments such as Victorian Table Tipping, Ouija Boards and the Estes Method.
You will also have a couple of breaks throughout the night, where we provide you with unlimited refreshments and snacks to re-energise ready for the next vigil.
